ชื่อที่ใช้ในวงก็คือ T.O.P.
รุ่นพี่และสต๊าฟในค่ายเรียกเค้าว่า คึนซึงฮยอน แปลว่า big ซึงฮยอน (เนื่องจากบิ๊กแบงมีซึงฮยอน2คน)
เท๊มโปมีหน้าที่เป็น rapper ในวง
เค้าเคยชนะการประกวด Rap battle ของ KBS Radio เมื่อปี 2003
มีความสามารถในการทำบีทบ๊อก ที่ใครเห็นก็ต้องอึ้ง

ซึงริเคยเข้าร่วมในรายการBattle Shinwha
เพื่อการค้นหาชินฮวารุ่นที่2 แต่ถูกคัดออกไปใน Episode ที่ 13
เนื่องจากเหตุผลที่ว่า ถึงแม้จะเต้นเก่งมากๆ แต่การร้องเพลงยังใช้ไม่ได้
